Last week I noticed a white ring of skin on my upper arm in the muscular area. Oddly, the same ring is on both upper arms in identical places! The rings are about 1-1/2 inches across with normal pigment color inside the ring, just much lighter in a circle about 1/4" thick, almost as if someone took a circular object & pressed on my arm for a few seconds to make an impression. Skin is perfectly smooth, no dryness, nothing. Help!

- That sounds like an impression of some sort to me. Perhaps your bra? Or, do you wear a uniform of some kind (not sure how old you are)? Or, do you carry a backpack (with a loop, button, buckle or something round and hard) over both shoulders or a bag like a purse (with the same stuff I asked above) over both shoulders back and forth enough that it could make an indent or impression on your skin?
It sounds odd to me that it is the same exact thing on exactly the same area of both arms so, it really sounds like an article of clothing or accessorie of some kind. Could it be something that you sleep in?
Take care!
P.S.
I think that I saw that you are a female. Otherwise, the purse and bra questions are sort of moot!

- My daughter has exactly what you describe...I have no idea what it is yet. Definitely not an impression. There are two or three rings per upper arm in the tricep area. Perfectly round, smooth rings(not red inside nor are they irritated). She has asthma, allergies and eczema. Making an appointment with the allergist/dermitoligist on Monday.#2; Sat, 17 Apr 2010 00:51:00 GMT
